Dear Lakeway Christian Academy Families,
As we prepare to begin the 2025–2026 school year, I am filled with a deep sense of anticipation and gratitude. Our theme this year, "Walking Wisely," drawn from Ephesians 5:15—“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise”—challenges us all to live with intention, discernment, and purpose as we walk in faith.
This theme inspires our commitment to nurture students who are not only academically strong but also spiritually grounded. It is a privilege to walk alongside them as they learn to make wise choices, grow in godly character, and develop a deeper understanding of God’s truth and calling on their lives.
At Lakeway Christian Academy, our mission remains clear: to prepare students spiritually and academically to become leaders who impact the world for Christ. Whether your child is just beginning middle school or preparing to graduate, I pray that your family will continue to #ExperienceTheDifference that sets our community apart.
I look forward to the journey ahead and to building meaningful connections with each family entrusted to our care. Together, we will create a Christ-centered, encouraging environment where our students can thrive and walk wisely in all they do.
Thank you for being part of the Lakeway family. I am honored to serve you and excited for what this new year holds.
With warmest regards,
Dr. Derek Voiles
Principal, Lakeway Christian Academy

Dear Lakeway Christian Schools Families,
Wisdom is a gift from God, and Scripture calls us to pursue it with diligence and devotion. In Paul’s letter to the Ephesians, he exhorts the church with these words: “Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise.” (Ephesians 5:15). This command is more than just a suggestion—it is a call to live with intentionality, seeking God’s direction in every aspect of life.
As we enter the 2024-2025 school year, I am excited to share with you our theme: Walking Wisely. This theme is rooted in the belief that true wisdom is not just about knowledge but about applying God’s truth in our daily lives. As a school, we want to cultivate wisdom in our students, our families, and our staff by emphasizing four key pillars:
Discernment – The ability to distinguish truth from falsehood, good from evil, and right from wrong. In a world filled with competing voices, we desire to equip our students to filter everything through the lens of Scripture and to seek God’s wisdom in their decisions.
Courage – Walking wisely means walking boldly. Wisdom gives us the confidence to stand firm in our faith, even when it is countercultural. We pray that our students will develop the courage to follow Christ wholeheartedly, even in the face of adversity.
Integrity – True wisdom is marked by character. We want to foster an environment where honesty, responsibility, and moral uprightness define who we are. Integrity means living in such a way that our actions align with God’s truth, even when no one is watching.
Understanding – Wisdom is not just about making good choices; it is about truly knowing God and His ways. Through deepening our knowledge of Scripture and growing in our relationship with Christ, we seek to develop understanding that shapes how we live and love others.
As we embrace this theme, my prayer is that every member of the Lakeway Christian Schools family—students, parents, faculty, and staff—will commit to walking wisely, allowing God’s truth to guide our paths. May we be a people who seek Him above all else and reflect His wisdom in our homes, classrooms, and communities.
Looking forward to a year of growing in wisdom together!
In Christ,
Brett Moore
